Our Commitment to Privacy

Finzs is designed with privacy as a foundational principle. We believe that financial calculations are deeply personal and should remain private. This policy explains what little data we interact with and how we protect your information.

Data We Do Not Collect

Financial data you enter into calculators (income, savings, debt, investments, tax information) never leaves your browser. All computations are performed client-side using JavaScript running on your device. We do not have access to this data, we cannot see it, and it is never transmitted to any server.

We do not require account creation. There are no user profiles, no login credentials, and no personal identification requirements to use any feature on Finzs.

We do not use analytics scripts, tracking pixels, or behavioral monitoring tools. There are no third-party advertising networks, no retargeting, and no user profiling of any kind.

Data We May Process

Web hosting infrastructure. Our static site is served through standard web hosting. When you visit Finzs, the hosting provider may log standard server access information (IP address, browser type, timestamp, requested URL) as part of normal web server operation. These logs are used solely for technical troubleshooting and security purposes.

Content Delivery Networks. Some assets (such as Google Fonts) are loaded from external CDNs. When your browser fetches these resources, the CDN provider receives standard HTTP request information. We use these services to improve page load performance globally.

Local storage. Finzs uses your browser’s localStorage to remember your theme preference (dark or light mode) and language selection. This data never leaves your device. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Cookies

Finzs does not set any cookies for tracking, advertising, or analytics purposes. The only data stored in your browser is the theme and language preference via localStorage, which is functionally necessary for the user experience you’ve chosen.

Third-Party Services

Google Fonts. We use Google Fonts to serve the Fraunces, DM Sans, and JetBrains Mono typefaces. Google’s privacy policy governs any data processed during font file requests. You can review it at policies.google.com/privacy.

No other third-party services are used on Finzs. Specifically, we do not integrate with analytics platforms, advertising networks, social media widgets, comment systems, or any service that tracks user behavior.

Children’s Privacy

Finzs is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children. All tools are designed for adult users making financial decisions.

Your Rights

Since Finzs does not collect, store, or process personal data, there is no personal data to access, correct, delete, or export. If you have questions about privacy, you can reach out through our GitHub repository (see About page) or by opening an issue.

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, California, or other jurisdiction with data protection laws, please note that Finzs does not act as a data controller or processor because we do not collect personal data as defined by these regulations.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued use of Finzs after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
